Walk through the completed scope
- Compare the installed openings, arrangement and finish with the accepted quotation.
- Ask the team to demonstrate normal opening, closing and locking.
- Confirm the intended cleaning access and any parts that require professional attention.
- Record unfinished items and the agreed next action.
Keep the quotation, specification, handover notes and service contact together. A recording of the room may document an experience, but it does not replace the measurement method needed for a numerical performance claim.
Get care instructions for the installed system
Ask which cleaning products, methods and maintenance intervals the supplier approves for the glass, frame, seals and hardware. Do not apply a method intended for another product without checking it.
Keep cleaning within safe reach. Do not lean outside, remove safety devices or dismantle safety-critical components. Arrange appropriate professional access where needed.
If the room seems noisier later
Note when the change began, the sound source and whether window and door positions or nearby activity have changed. Photograph any safely visible concern and explain whether operation has become difficult.
Request an inspection rather than assuming that every change is a failed pane or seal. The source, closure, other openings and building paths may need consideration. Avoid unauthorised adjustments that could affect safety or the system’s terms.
Keep the actual warranty and support route
- Who is responsible for the warranty and service?
- What components and work are covered, for how long?
- Which exclusions and care conditions apply?
- How do you report an issue and arrange inspection?
Use the terms in your own agreement. This guide does not promise an unapproved warranty duration or response time. Ask the team to clarify any uncertainty in writing.
Plan how the room will be used
Consider the routine for opening windows, cleaning and fresh air alongside closed-window listening comfort. Do not assume that a closed acoustic window introduces fresh outdoor air unless a designed and verified feature provides it.
For questions about the original choice or scope, return to the configuration and quotation checklist.
About this checklist
This is a general planning checklist. Project prices, lead times, products, warranties and final suitability must be confirmed for the actual quotation and site. It does not introduce new commercial terms.
